A lot of people get the idea that they can make money online very fast without even doing any work. This idea is usually fueled by desperate Internet marketers who are more interested in making the money fast from their unknowing targets, than actually helping them to make money.

In their sales letters they make very big claims and quote mouth-watering sums of money, in dollar for that matter that anyone who subscribes to their products would make. They pack their sales letters full with hype to ensure that no one could resist it.

Of course not many people can resist an offer like been able to immediately start making $1000 a week on adsense with a blog or website.

By the time you do the simple multiplication, that comes up to nothing less than $4,000. And when you go further to convert it to Naira, at the present exchange rate of about N170 to a dollar, that would mean about N680, 000 would be piling up in your account every month.

That’s not all, the offer is further spiced by telling you that you will not spend any money aside from what you will buy the product with, that you can use a free blog and free contents to be making the money.

I see a lot of this kind of sales letters and my heart cringes with pity for the unsuspecting target. It is unfortunate that so many Internet marketers think if they didn’t entice their target with over exaggerated picture of what is possible, they will not release money to buy their product, which they need so desperately.

They know lots of people are in difficult financial state, and so will immediately buy anything that they think could get them out of it NOW – they cannot wait till tomorrow; they need the money to start pouring in immediately.

They also know that a lot of people don’t like the idea of working. So they tell them not to worry, that working is not part of the process of making the money they are promising them, that all they need is their product.

But this is terrible! I consider it a scam, and have vowed never to use such tactics to sell my products. I believe people should be given the real picture so that they would know exactly what they are going into and make their decision. I don’t think I have to arm twist anyone to buy my products. I’ll tell you exactly what you should expect, if you like it fine, if you don’t so be it.

Now this is what will happen to an average person who is new to the Internet, and wants to make money really fast, and who reads the sales letter that tells him he would start making $1000 in a week immediately he gets the product.

He will quickly purchase it, and set up a free blog. He will find a free article from a free article directory site and post it on the blog, rush to Google for its adsense code, and paste it on his blog.

He will then start waiting for the money to start showing up in hundreds of dollars as the day goes by. But as weeks turn into months, he sees nothing in his Adsense account. Then he becomes frustrated and starts clicking the Adsense himself, only to fall under the hammer of Google and get banned.

Before that experience dies down, he reads another sales letter from another person he thinks is a guru, promising that if he gets his material he would be able to make $10, 000 in a month in PPC affiliate marketing. He wouldn’t need a website to achieve this, neither would he need any experience. Again, all he needs is the marketer’s product.

Quickly, he gets the product, hoping that by the time he makes the first $10,000 everything will fall in place in his life. But after going through the scanty guide, and implementing it, instead of making money, he is actually losing it.

He packed it up, and goes for one or two more quick-money-making schemes online that flashed across his eyes. Again, there was no success. Now he is certain, it is not possible to make money online, that all the talk about making money on the Internet are lies. So he has decided to stay away from the Internet and find something else in the physical world to do.

Has this ever happened to you? Can you relate with the experience of the man above? Have you bought a number of information products promising their system will be making money for you like a damaged ATM machine, while at the end of the day it is your pocket that got damaged?

If you are, I can sense you asking me now, “Is it really possible to make money online?”

My answer is YES! It is possible to make $1000 and even more than that weekly from adsense, and it is possible to make $10,000 and more monthly from PPC affiliate marketing, but it doesn’t happen overnight.

For new comers to the Internet, it is not possible for them to be able to make such money. Like in any business, whether online or offline, you need to build it up to a level that its income will soar.

If you build your blog or website to a level that it start getting hundreds of thousands, or even millions of visitors monthly, you would be literary swimming in money, then you would definitely make more than $1000 in revenue weekly from that blog or website.

The same goes for PPC Affiliate marketing, and other genuine money making opportunities online. If you can take the time to learn how they work and gradually build the business up, you would surely start making huge profits.

My advise to you my dear reader is, don’t give up on your dream of making money online. The Internet remains the best place today for anyone to have a business with the greatest profit potential worldwide.

Think about it, with a blog or website for instance, you are already in business. Yes, you heard me right. If you set up a blog today it means you have started a business – your blogging activities are your business.

When you consider the capital you would need to set up and run a physical business compared to what it cost to set up a blog or website, you will agree with me that the Internet is a blessing to our generation, not to mention the global market place that it gives you access to.

You shouldn’t allow the negative experience you got in the hands of some marketers to cause you to throw away the baby with the bathwater. There is great money to be made on the Internet, and you can find your financial freedom from it!

Dust yourself up; consider what you have spent without result as a learning experience, which most newbies to the Internet go through. I have lost money too to scam artists hen I was starting out, so you are not alone in this experience. Don’t allow it to cause you to give up, rather it should motivate you to wanting to learn all there is to making money from the online business of your choice.

If you desire to be part of those making money online, take these two steps:

One, be focused. You may have heard this before and didn’t quite take it serious, but now you really have to. There will always be loads of different money making opportunities marketers will be presenting to you from time to time. They will be so tempting that if you don’t hold yourself, you will find yourself moving from one online business to another.

And at the end of the day, you will have dissipated your energy, time and money without anything to show for it. To achieve success in making money online, you have to decide on a business opportunity you want to do, and then focus your time, energy, and money in building it. Concentrate on it squarely for at least six months, learning and implementing success strategies on it, before adding another business opportunity to it.

Two, get a coach. It’s way better to get somebody who is experienced, with proven knowledge of the business to coach you, than to buy an e-book, which you may not be able to implement. Beside, the e-book might even be a free introductory copy of the course, which the seller got.

Instead of groping in the dark, trying to decipher how the business works, a coach will put you right on track for success.

In my Blogging For Millions Classroom, where I give one-on-one training online on making money with blogs, almost all my students would have chosen the wrong subject for their blogs if they were to do it themselves.

This is the foundation of success in blogging. What so many would-be bloggers don’t know is that they have to first of all research keywords to be sure there are enough people who are interested in the subject they have in mind before starting their blogs. From there they will use the keywords in the name of their blogs in such a way that it would be attractive to the search engines.

If you miss this basic foundational step, you may never be able to make money from blogging.

Again, I must emphasize the importance of been under the guidance of a knowledgeable and experienced coach who is accessible and passionate about helping others achieve success.

Though you may not start making the money immediately, however, with a coach leading you, you are sure your business will be positioned aright and you will be able to learn a great deal about the business than you may never have been able to learn in 10 e-books. And in addition, your coach will be there to attend to you when you have challenges, and will help in straightening things out for you.
