Before you answer the question, let me congratulate and welcome you to 2009! With all the challenges and difficulties 2008 might have presented, thank God you survived it and are here at the beginning of a new year with an opportunity to begin afresh.

 

This time of the year is when we have to set goals to work towards. Setting goals gives us the motivation to pursue and succeed in achieving our desires against the challenges that might come up along the way.

 

Yes, there will be challenges, and you must be prepared for them so that they will not overwhelm you and make you throw in the towel when they do come.  The challenges might be not been able to find time to update your blog or implement what you learn on your online business.

 

It might even be problems with your computer, internet service provider, or not having constant electricity to work with. Whatever the challenges might be, because you have made a goal, and your eyes are fixed on the result you are expecting, you will find the inner power to go on and eventually overcome the challenges.

 

Setting our goals for the new year also enables us to be focused on getting result on the most important aspects of our lives where we need a change. Been focused is crucial to achieving anything meaningful, whether on the Internet or offline.  

 

And particularly on the Internet, with the loads of money making opportunities that usually flood one, without a focus, one can find themselves switching from working on one opportunity to the other without meaningful result to show for it at the end of the day.

 

Maintaining focus as we strive to make money online is as important to new comers to the Internet as it is to experienced online money makers. For me, I have decided not to create another website or blog this year, but to focus and work on my present sites and build them to achieving their full purpose, and thereby becoming five star sites (if there is any thing like that on the Internet).

 

What that means for me is that I will not be pursuing other income streams this year, but to further scale the ones I’m into presently.

 

I think this is equally important to you. You will have to determine exactly what money making opportunity you would like to access and concentrate on this year, and then put all your resources into it, consistently learning and implementing what you have learnt. That is how everyone who has made success online has gotten into it.

 

There are different ways to make money online. One is by working as freelancer.

 

There is usually a huge pile of work to be done in building online businesses, and if a webmaster wants to be effective and efficient, they definitely would have to outsource a great deal of the work to other people to do. And because it is cost effective, they usually find freelancers online from other continents who could do the work perfectly at low charges.

 

A freelance job, which I have great knowledge and experience on, is writing articles online. Actually, I started making money online through this avenue, and over the years I have thought and shown many people how to access this opportunity too.

What I have covered above are just a few of the ways one can make money online, there are certainly more ways to it. However, like I always like to emphasis, making money legally on the Internet doesn’t happen over night, it requires consistently working on a process, until results begin to show.

 

So, whatever, the avenue you decide to make money from this year, be patient, and be focused on your goal!
